Joanna Adaran
Joanna recently played Trunky in The Enormous Crocodile at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
Joanna is an actor and singer from Greater London who’s love of performing was kindled in church where she began singing from a tender age. Her background in gospel music continues to influence her sound and performance.
She holds a BA in Comparative Literature and Drama from the University of Kent, where she was a Music Performance Scholar, and committed member of the university’s Musical Theatre Society, as well as Head Musical Director of its a capella subgroup.
She trained in Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music where she has played roles such as Julie Jordan in Carousel & Rosalind in As You Like It.

Other credits include: Raleigh in Journey’s End (Gulbenkian Theatre) and Esmerelda in The Hunchback of Notre Dame (The Great Hall, Kent College) and

Joanna was the recipient of the Foakes Prize for Shakespeare Studies for English and the David Humphries Music Award at the University of Kent.
