Benoît Maréchal
Benoît is best known in the UK for his involvement in the international tour of The Bodyguard (UK and Japan), in which he starred as Frank Farmer alongside Alexandra Burke for 300 shows. He played the role in French in Paris early 2018, and he is the only actor to this day who embodied the Bodyguard in two languages.
He has a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering completed in between a French university in Grenoble and Arizona State University. Right after that, he made a big leap starting a dancing training program in Paris and he studied classical ballet, modern jazz and contemporary dance. Benoît also trained in Iyengar Yoga and taught postural work for two years in a studio in Paris.
He made his debut on stage in a tribute to Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich called ‘L'amant d'un jour’, in which he played the title role. Later on, he was directed by the great Bob Wilson in ‘Quartett’, alongside Isabelle Huppert, at the Theatre de l'Odéon in Paris and on tour (in Europe, Brasil, and the United States) and in ‘Saint John's Passion’, at the beautiful Theatre du Châtelet in Paris.
He studied acting with Jack Waltzer from the Actor's studio in Paris for many years. He is a singer as well and was vocally trained by Bruce Kolb in New York City, and Amy Lavietes in Paris, whom he is still working with to this day. He also has a successful international career as a model.
Benoît appeared on French TV and in several films like ‘Fais danser la poussière’, ‘La Nouvelle Blanche Neige’ and successful TV Show “Spiral”. In 2019, he was seen in the UK on the big screen in ‘The Shiny Shrimps’.
